ON Semiconductor Demonstrates Internet of Things Leadership with Three Awards in China  Chinese

Bluetooth® IoT Development Kit (B-IDK), RSL10 Sensor Development Kit and RSL10 Solar Cell Multi-Sensor Platform win IoT innovation awards from leading media

Dec 13, 2019 -- ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq: ON), driving energy efficient innovations, has won awards in two categories at the 2019 China Internet of Things (IoT) Innovation Awards organized by plus further recognition at the 2019 IoT Innovation Awards organized by Electronic Engineering & Product World (EEPW).

At the 2019 China IoT Innovation Awards, the company’s Bluetooth IoT Development Kit (B-IDK) won in the IoT Development tools/kits/cloud platforms category, and the RSL10 Sensor Development Kit was successful in the Sensor Technology category. Meanwhile, at the EEPW 2019 IoT Innovation Awards, the RSL10 Solar Cell Multi-Sensor Platform won in the Low Power Sensor category.

These IoT innovation award schemes in China aim to identify and recognize leaders in the IoT sector who have brought outstanding contributions and technologies to the market that have far-reaching impact and help drive innovation and support the development of IoT solutions.

ON Semiconductor’s B-IDK is a modular platform for developing and prototyping Bluetooth Low Energy applications within smart homes and buildings. It brings together the company’s RSL10 System-in-Package (RSL10 SIP) – based on the industry’s lowest power Bluetooth 5 radio - with a range of sensor and actuator modules for rapid development. Along with a companion mobile application, this provides an ‘out of the box’ solution with instant cloud connectivity. The kit is supported by an extensive development environment that includes sample software and FreeRTOS.

The RSL10 Sensor Development Kit combines cutting-edge smart sensor technology with the RSL10. The kit also includes the required firmware, software, and mobile and cloud-related functions to support the development of worker safety and home automation applications with advanced sensor technology and longer battery life. The small form-factor development platform provides nine degrees of freedom (DoF) detection and environmental monitoring, including ambient light, volatile organic compounds (VOC), pressure, relative humidity, and temperature.

The RSL10 Solar Cell Multi-Sensor platform is a complete, low-cost solution for developing self-powered sensor nodes using harvested solar energy. The platform features multiple smart sensors and supports continuous Bluetooth Low Energy transmission without requiring any batteries.
