AR2020

The AR2020 Hyperlux™ LP is a 20 MP stacked BSI CMOS image sensor with a 1/1.8-inch optical format and 5120 × 3840 resolution at up to 60 fps. Designed for ultra-low-power operation, it features enhanced NIR sensitivity, Wake-on-Motion (WOM), SmartROI, HDR/eDR support, and flexible subsampling modes. Its combination of high image quality and low power consumption makes it ideal for smart cameras, video conferencing, machine vision, retail analytics, biometrics, and AR/VR applications.

Cost-effective Power Delivery Design for AR2020 Image Sensor

The AR2020 Hyperlux™ LP 20 MP image sensor requires dedicated supply rails for its analog, digital core, and I/O domains. For 5 V input systems, the power tree uses a FAN53745 buck regulator together with NCP114, NCP189, and NCP163 low-noise LDOs to generate the required sensor voltages. For 5 V to 18 V power-over-coax applications, the highly integrated NCV92310 PMIC provides multiple regulated outputs and power sequencing in a single device, simplifying remote camera module designs. In 48 V industrial systems, a FAN65004C 6 A buck regulator creates an intermediate supply rail that feeds the same low-noise regulation architecture. Additional configurations support integration with the AP1302 Image Signal Processor (ISP) for local or remote image processing. MCU-controlled sequencing ensures proper power-up and power-down timing, while the combination of efficient buck conversion and ultra-low-noise LDO regulation delivers stable operation and maximum image quality for AR2020-based vision systems.
