Power Conversion and Motor Control Technology Demonstrations

Both the newly released PIMs and IPMs will be demonstrated at onsemi’s booth during electronica, underlining how energy efficient semiconductor-based solutions are critical to developing successful designs in Power Conversion and Motor Control (PCMC). On-booth demonstrations will highlight how onsemi’s solutions have created a leadership position in industrial power, solar energy and motor drives and will include a robotics showcase and a solar and battery storage setup.

Automotive Technology Demonstrations

In addition to onsemi’s newly released FAM65xxxx modules the company has a number of sensing and lighting demos.

First, we will showcase how ultrasonic sensors used in a triangulation format can determine and monitor the position of a moving obstacle over a range of 30 cm to several meters. In addition, will be an active demonstration of the company’s AR0233 and AR0820 CMOS image sensors that deliver the dependable, high-resolution, high dynamic range and low-light performance critical for automotive applications such as front view cameras for ADAS and other autonomous driving systems.

onsemi’s LED driver solutions for both front and rear lighting units will showcase a range of functions such as welcome lighting, soft dimming and diagnostics.

IoT Technology Demonstrations

Finally, the onsemi booth will include four IoT demonstrations highlighting new use-cases of the RSL10, including a Bluetooth Low Energy Mesh Networking demonstration featuring the RSL10 Sensor Development Kit. This showcases the enablement of many-to-many connections using a combination of the lowest power Bluetooth Low Energy, sensor and mesh technology.

Other demonstrations will include battery-less and wireless edge nodes implementing Bluetooth Low Energy, Zigbee and proprietary Sub-GHz protocols, all powered from energy harvested from motion and solar sources as well as cutting edge image sensors that are putting vision into the IoT, showing Machine Vision nodes enabled through Power over Ethernet (PoE).

Finally, visitors will learn how onsemi technology is being used to add Artificial Intelligence to IoT edge nodes able to detect and react to audio commands using natural speech recognition.

Be sure to stop by the onsemi Booth 101 Hall C4 at electronica to see our next generation solutions in action and talk to an onsemi expert about how to incorporate these into your next design.
