onsemi is demonstrating our latest innovations in Intelligent Power and Intelligent Sensing at Sensors Converge, June 27-29 in San Jose. This blog provides a brief overview of what we will be showing at our booth (#1018).

Our banner demos include our new dual-inductive rotary position sensor for industrial automation applications, and our fully functional Automated Mobile Robot (AMR) built using exclusively onsemi components.

Our demo for the inductive position sensor is a fun spin game showing our sensor’s accuracy. The onsemi AMR on display is an example of a complete AMR made from our comprehensive offering ofcomponents and platforms, including motor drive, power management, battery charging, LED lighting, sensing, and more.

Intelligent Sensing

In our Intelligent Sensing area, we will showcase several image sensor innovations.

First is our novel single-camera reference system for next-generation Driver and Occupant Monitoring Systems (DOMS) using our AR0820AT 1/2” 8.3 MP high dynamic range (HDR) rolling shutter image sensor and emotion3D software stack. This system reduces the need for two cameras to just one.

Second is a 4K triple-exposure eHDR (on-chip HDR) using a 2.0um BSI pixel with 3840 x 2160 [16:9] 4k resolution.  Low-light performance, low-power, motion compensation, and AP1302 image signal processor are excellent solutions for industrial machine vision.

The third demo will feature a flicker-free 8.3 MP imaging solution for next-generation ADAS and autonomous driving systems with HDR, LED flicker mitigation, and excellent low light performance.

Intelligent Power

Our Intelligent Power area has multiple Bluetooth® Low Energy (Bluetooth LE) demos combined with low-power sensors and power management solutions.

Four demos highlight our family of industry’s lowest power Bluetooth LE solutions—three based on our award-winning ultra-low-power RSL10 Bluetooth LE radio SoC, and one features our recently released RSL15 Bluetooth 5.2 microcontroller. The RSL15 features enhanced security and an extremely low-power always-on sensor interface with similar radio performance and power consumption as the RSL10.

Showcasing the versatility of the RSL family, we will demonstrate a variety of application reference designs, including:

For the RSL15, we will highlight multiple development platforms, including an easy-to-use evaluation board and a new 2EG wireless module for connected IoT edge devices in industrial and medical applications.

And last but certainly not least is a demo of a 20 MP sensor that leads the industry in low power consumption and high imaging performance. It has exceptional low light image quality, multiple color filter arrays, extended dynamic range, and broad support from the imaging ecosystem. Come see why this sensor is a must-have for industrial applications.
