Evaluation/Development Tools

STR-LOGIC-GATES-EVK: Strata Multi-function Logic Gate with GUI Control

Strata enables seamless evaluation of hardware devices such as this configurable multifunction logic gate. The evaluation hardware can be controlled with simple GUI input switches while monitoring the output of two individual logic gates. Design collateral such as schematics, PCB layout, test reports, etc. are supplied in the same Strata interface to ease evaluation. This design serves as a vehicle for onsemi customers to understand and start taking advantage of the new Strata ecosystem. Other designs will follow such as switching and linear power supplies, offline converters, and a power ecosystem to fully evaluate most power converters.

STR-USBC-2PORT-100W-EVK: Strata Dual 100W USB-PD Automotive Charging System

The Strata based Dual 100W USB-PD Automotive Charging System demonstrates onsemi's broad portfolio of USB-PD and Power Solutions, including the FUSB302 Type-C & PD Port Controller, the FUSB252 HV Protection Switch, and the NCV81599 4-switch buck-boost controller. Additionally, the Strata software also provides full control over the system and allows the user to experiment with various fault and foldback features, change power profiles on each port, and monitor telemetry while charging various load devices. Design collateral such as schematics, PCB layout, test reports, etc. are supplied in the same Strata interface to ease evaluation.

STR-USBC-4PORT-200W-EVK: Strata USB AC-DC 4-Port 200W Source

The 4-Port USB-PD Source showcases onsemi's broad portfolio of USB-PD power solutions, including the FUSB307 PD Port Controller, the FUSB252 HV Protection Switch, and the NCP81231 buck controller. The universal 200W AC/DC supply uses the NCP1399 LLC controller, the NCP1615 PFC, and NCP4305 secondary SR controller providing a highly efficient front-end solution. All ports are 100 W capable with a total max system power limited to 200 W using our First Come First Served power management algorithm. The Strata software provides powerful controls to test power profile configurations such as optional "assured" port 1 power, experiment with various fault and foldback features, and monitor system telemetry while charging various load devices. Design collateral such as schematics, PCB layout, test reports, etc. are supplied in the same Strata interface to ease evaluation.

AXM0F243: Ultra-Low Power Narrow-Band Sub GHz (27 - 1050 MHz) ARM® Cortex®-M0+ Wireless Microcontroller

The AXM0F243 is a System on Chip (Soc) for true single chip wireless applications. The SoC contains the field proven narrow-band AX5043 RF transceiver core and a high performance ARM® Cortex®-M0+ microcontroller (MCU) core. The AX5043 core is extremely powerful and is software programmable. With the widest array of available modulation schemes and data rates from 100 bps to 125 kbps, nearly any Sub GHz protocol, proprietary or standards based, can be implemented.

The software programmability of the radio core also makes it possible to share a common hardware design for products that have different software loaded, making it easier for customers to manage multiple SKUs. It’s also possible to implement a multi-protocol solution using this device for powerful gateway implementations. With it’s robust and efficient RF transceiver, and powerful ARM® Cortex®-M0+ MCU and programmable analog, the AXM0F243 is an outstanding choice for low power and long range Internet of Things applications.

LC06511DMX is a protection IC for 1 cell lithium-ion or lithium-polymer battery with built-in OTP. It provides highly accurate adjustable over-charge, over-discharge, over-current protection with adjustable detection delay by OTP. Current is detected by high precision external chip resistor. Which realizes accurate current detection over temperature.

Motor Drivers & Load Drivers

The LV88551JA/R is the pre-driver for a single-phase BLDC motor, which has the closed loop controller for motor rotation speed. This is available to control a motor with low vibration and the low noise. In addition, lead-angle adjustment is possible by external pins. Lead-angle value and lead-angle slant can be adjusted independently. Thus, the device can be driven by high efficiency and low noise with various motors. Motor speed setting curve is adjustable for many variety using external resistor only. As a method of the rotary speed control of the motor, direct-PWM pulse input.
