Global Reach and Local Impact
This year’s grants will collectively impact over 6 million learners across various regions across Asia, Europe, and North America. Each project is tailored to meet the unique needs of its community, ensuring that students from diverse backgrounds have access to high-quality STEAM education.
Empowering the Future
The ON Semiconductor Foundation’s investment in STEAM education is more than just financial support; it’s a commitment to building a brighter future. By funding these projects, we aim to inspire curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in students worldwide. Investing in STEAM careers is crucial, especially in fields like semiconductors, where there is a significant global talent gap. According to McKinsey, the semiconductor industry alone faces a shortage of over 100,000 engineers in the United States and Europe, and more than 200,000 in Asia-Pacific1.
