Our annual sustainability report is created to transparently communicate our sustainability efforts with our investors, customers, stakeholders and employees, serving as an important tool for disclosing sustainability strategies, measurements, progress and achievements.

Our Recognition

Dow Jones Sustainability Indices, North America

In 2022, onsemi was named to the North America Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for the fifth year. Companies are selected for inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) based on their results in the Standard and Poor (S&P) Global CSA (Corporate Sustainability Assessment) that measures sustainability through the assessment of numerous criteria such as corporate governance, customer relations, environmental policy, working conditions, and social initiatives.

EcoVadis

In November 2022, onsemi received platinum recognition from EcoVadis, an assessment to evaluate CSR initiatives, achieving an overall score of 82 out of 100. onsemi placed among the top 1% of companies manufacturing electronic components and boards industry. The score signifies onsemi’s proactive approach to CSR, including engagements, policies, and tangible actions on issues, comprehensive CSR reporting on actions and key performance indicators, innovative practices, and external recognition.

World Finance

In June 2023, onsemi was recognized, for the fourth consecutive year, as the most sustainable company in the semiconductor industry. 2019 was the first year that World Finance gave awards for sustainability and 2020 was the first year for semiconductors. This award demonstrates our commitment to being transparent when reporting on the environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects of our business. It underscores our focus on product innovation and services to address climate risks and sustainability positively.

The Ethisphere Institute, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices, recognized onsemi as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies® for a seventh consecutive year (2016-2022). The designation recognizes organizations that align principle with action by working tirelessly to make ethics part of their corporate DNA. Supplier Due Diligence

We are committed to ensuring the highest standards of social responsibility in all regions where we do business. We insist that our suppliers:

  • Provide safe working conditions
  • Treat workers with dignity and respect
  • Prohibit human trafficking and slavery (including the procurement of commercial sex acts and the use of forced or child labor)
  • Promote ethical behavior
  • Use environmentally responsible manufacturing processes
  • Follow principles similar to those in our Code of Business Conduct

As outlined in our Supplier Handbook, the supplier must:

  • Conform to all environmental laws
  • Conform toall applicable laws and regulations
  • Behave ethically
  • Conform to all social responsibility and conflict mineral requirements that onsemi’s CSR Commitment requires
  • Provide any requested certifications and cascade all applicable requirements through their supply chain

We expect our suppliers and on-site service providers to follow the same CSR tenets that we have set for our operations through our Code of Business Conduct and the RBA Code of Conduct. We engage our suppliers regularly by clearly communicating our expectations, deploying risk assessments, providing training opportunities for capacity building, conducting verification audits, and addressing any non-conformance.

Responsible Minerals Sourcing

As a member of the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI), we engage in reasonable and responsible due diligence with our suppliers and other third parties in our supply chain consistent with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas. The Company also recognizes the importance of supporting responsible mineral sourcing from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and its adjoining countries so as not to impact the economies of those countries negatively.

We require our suppliers to:

  • Engage in due diligence to analyze their sources
  • Complete the RMI Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT)
  • Ensure that all minerals sold to or used to manufacture products for use by onsemi originate from conflict-free smelters validated as conformant by the Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP)
