PHOENIX, Ariz. – March 15, 2006 – Further expanding its extensive clock management portfolio, ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq: ONNN) today announced that several of its highly-accurate clock management products are available in a new space-efficient, Pb-free, 32-pin QFN package. With a footprint measuring only 5 mm x 5 mm, the newly packaged devices utilize only 31 percent of the board space consumed by earlier packages. This advancement allows designers of sophisticated clock networks to implement significantly smaller advanced clock management devices - leaving more flexibility within space-constrained designs.
The MC100LVEP111 is a 1:10 Differential Clock Driver with extremely low jitter (200 fs typical) and low skew (20 ps typical). The device accepts two differential or single-ended clock sources into an input multiplexer, and operates from a Vcc of +2.5 V or +3.3 V. MC100LVEP111MNRG is priced at $6.00 per unit in 1,000 unit quantities.
The NBC12429A (25-400 MHz), NBC12430A(50-800 MHz), and NBC12439A (50-800 MHz) are Programmable PLL Synthesized Clock Generators, that deliver better jitter performance (20 ps typical) and operate over a wider temperature range (-40°C to +85°C) than competing products. These devices are also offers in the 32-pin QFN, the smallest available package. The NBC12429AMNR4G, NBC12430AMNR4G, and NBC12439AMNR4G are priced at $6.84 per unit in 1,000 unit quantities.
