PHOENIX, Ariz. – April 19, 2004 – As part of its ongoing strategy to expand its presence in the power management arena, ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq: ONNN) today announced that it has hired Larry Sims as vice president and general manager of its Analog Products Division.
Sims was most recently the vice president and general manager of the communications IC business at Intersil Corporation where he successfully grew gross margins and reduced overhead costs. Prior to this experience, Sims was the vice president of Sales and Marketing at Intersil Corporation.
Prior to Intersil, Sims spent 13 years at Motorola in a wide range of positions that included international sales, marketing, operations and planning. Sims also worked as a manufacturer’s representative focusing on analog power technologies for automotive and industrial markets at National Semiconductor earlier in his career.
