onsemi Donates Laser Cutter to Enhance STEM Education Programs in Oudenaarde, Belgium

In late 2019, onsemi provided a grant to Bernardusscholen Oudenaarde, Bernardusbron campus, to purchase a laser cutter for their STEM labs. Their STEM program focuses on many goals, such as strengthening the skills of educators, improving the process of study and career choice, ensuring more girls are able to participate in STEM studies/professions, attaining the highest STEM education standards and increasing social valuation of technical professions. Thanks to this donation, two of their secondary schools were able to expand their design program and purchase a laser cutter, in 2020.

In November 2020, our employees in Ireland led our Movember campaign, which was our first fundraiser for employees at our Limerick location. It was a pleasure to work with the engineers and watching them grow their beards and mustaches for such a great cause, and more importantly, to raise awareness for men’s health and the funds we raised together to support the Irish Cancer Society.

Supporting Children and their Families through Bereavement

Employees in the United Kingdom supported their local community by raising funds for Daisy’s Dream, who was chosen by a Bracknell employee after the charity had recently provided support to a close friend and family that was affected by the diagnosis of a serious illness. The charity supports children and their families affected by a life-threatening illness or death of someone close to them.

Bucheondong Community Welfare Center in South Korea

The Bucheondong Community Welfare Center in South Korea received a grant from onsemi Foundation in fall 2020. The funding will assist with the charity’s ‘Hope On for the Elderly Living Alone’ project, which has a goal of by 2023, of helping the elderly living alone form social relationships and support a happy life.
