NCP1631  Interleaved, 2-Phase Power Factor Controller

  • Two small stages, versus one large stage, shrinks component size, improves heat distribution; ideal for flat panel TVs and ultra-slim notebook adapters
  • Frequency Clamped Critical Conduction mode and frequency foldback linearly lowers the clamping frequency as a function of power, optimizing efficiency across the load range
  • 180° phase shifted outputs significantly reduce current ripple, which lowers EMI and reduces bulk capacitor rms current
