KB: BLE status stages during a connection


How many status stages occur during a Bluetooth Low Energy connection, what are the status levels called, and what causes them to change during the process?


There are five status stages in the BLE connection process:

Standby: in this status, BLE does not receive or send any data packages. This status can be entered from any of the other status stages.

Advertising: BLE sends or scans an advertise package.

Scanning: BLE enters this stage when the application needs to get more detail when an advertising package is received.

Initiating BLE has received and responded to the advertising message, and starts the connection.

Connection This status means BLE has been connected.
