FAQ: How to power the AXM0F343-xxx-xxx-GEVB using a coin cell?

Q: What is the right jumper configuration to power the AXM0F343-xxx-xxx-GEVB evaluation board using a CR2032 coin cell?

A: The AXM0F343-xxx-xxx-GEVB includes a battery holder that can be used to test low power modes in real operating conditions. As explained in details in the AXM0F343 Getting Started Guide, the power can be switched between USB/Vin and BATT using the slider (in picture below, yellow “SUPPLY” arrow). In addition, headers can be mounted on the J7, J8, J11, J12 in order to monitor the current consumption of different sections of the evaluation board.

Note: for accurate low power modes measurements (e.g. Hibernate currents, Shutdown current), be sure to fully disconnect all the jumpers on the J10 header. In this way the AXM0F343 will not be in DBG mode, and there will not be any leakage paths between the OB J-link programmer and the wireless SoC.
