Overview

The NCP3066 is a monolithic switching regulator designed to deliver constant current for powering high brightness LEDs. The device has a low feedback voltage of 235 mV which is used to regulate the average current of the LED string.The device supports a buck configuration with a wide input voltage range from 3.0V to 40.0V. The NCP3066 is a low cost converter that supports a peek current of 1.5A with a maximum duty cycle of 85.7%. The ON/OFF function allows turning of the device to low consumption mode, or driving the LED brightnes using PWM signal. The NCP3066can also be used as a controller for peak currents greater than 1.5A when an external device is used.
