Overview

The Demo 3 Evaluation Board is a common platform that connects compatible onsemi image sensor evaluation boards, headboards, and modules to a host PC. Its FPGA-based architecture supports MIPI, HiSPi, CCP, and parallel sensor interfaces, while the high-bandwidth USB 3.0 connection enables fast image data transfer. An onboard frame buffer manages sensor data and helps minimize frame loss during high-resolution and high-frame-rate image capture.

Using the onsemi DevSuite software, developers can configure sensor registers, adjust exposure and gain settings, capture images and video, analyze image quality, and evaluate supported sensor features. This flexible platform simplifies image sensor characterization, application development, system prototyping, and engineering demonstrations. The DevSuite software is available online. Feature

High-bandwidth USB 3.0 interface for communication and image-data transfer between the evaluation platform and a host PC.
Works with onsemi DevWareX / DevSuite software for sensor configuration, image capture, image analysis, testing, and characterization.
Compatible with onsemi image sensor headboards and modular image sensor evaluation configurations.
Can be combined with a compatible adapter and PRISM image sensor module for modular sensor evaluation and image-quality performance testing.
