Phoenix, Arizona - August 2, 1999 - Designers will be able to search the entire portfolio of Motorola Semiconductor Components Group's (SCG) products thanks to the newly published Semiconductor Components Selector Guide announced today. The new Selector Guide is a comprehensive listing of the entire portfolio of analog, logic and discrete devices offered by SCG.

Written specifically for designers, the Selector Guide covers the broad range of technologies and products that make up SCG's diversified portfolio of analog integrated circuits, logic devices and discrete semiconductor devices.

Within the Analog section, a perspective of the many markets that are served by analog ICs is provided along with specific details of how SCG products fit into those areas. Detailed technical descriptions of each device is provided as well as an excellent overview of the types and configurations of packages that house the devices.

The Logic section provides a complete inventory of SCG's families of logic devices by function and also in alphabetical order. The guide comes complete with an explanation of the device nomenclature and a well developed tutorial on packaging followed by a listing of the various packaging options.

The Discrete product portfolio is covered in the following sub-sections:

1) Small Signal Transistors, FETs and Diodes

2) TVS/Zeners, Transient Voltage Suppressors, Regulator Diodes

4) Bipolar Power Transistors

5) Rectifiers

6) Thyristors, Triggers and Surge Suppressors

7) IGBT Products.

Adding to the simplicity of the guide, a catalog of the most commonly used letter symbols, terms and definitions associated with IGBTs is included at the end of the IGBT sub-section, followed by some relevant waveforms and electrical characterization data.

Contacting SCG is greatly simplified by the listing of locations and phone numbers of regional sales offices located at the back of the guide.

Copies of the Selector Guide can be obtained, at no cost, by simply requesting SG388/G via any of the methods listed below.
