Phoenix, Ariz. – June 11, 2009 - ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq: ONNN), a leading global supplier of high performance, energy efficient silicon technologies, has announced it has received a 2008 Total Cost of Ownership (TCOOTM) Supplier Award from Celestica, a global leader in the delivery of end-to-end product lifecycle solutions. This award recognizes suppliers that support Celestica’s overall supply chain goal - to reduce the total cost of ownership for its customers and provide them with the flexibility they need to overcome any challenge.
“This award reflects the commitment we have to operational excellence and providing customers with world class supply chain programs,” said Jeff Thomson, vice president Global Channel Sales at ON Semiconductor. “By working closely with Celestica, we have been able to help minimize the total cost of ownership for Celestica’s customers without sacrificing quality or performance.”
This marks the third year of Celestica’s TCOO Supplier Awards program. Celestica’s TCOO system is focused on evaluating supplier performance by measuring the total cost to produce, deliver and support products and services beyond the supplier invoice price. As such, it considers the following supplier attributes: quality, deliver, technology, service, pricing and flexibility.
“On behalf of the rest of my team, I want to congratulate ON Semiconductor for being recognized with a 2008 TCOO Supplier Award,” said Harvinder Sembhi, Chief Procurement Officer, Celestica. “ON Semiconductor’s ongoing support of our TCOO strategy has helped us strengthen our supply chain, which drives greater value for our customers.”
