I am looking to use the NLAS5123 as a solid state relay. My question is will the NC connection allow signals (frequency) to be passed onto the COM pin even if there is no VCC applied?

An analog switch is not a relay and has to be powered according to what is specified in the datasheet that is with 1.65V ≤ VCC ≤ 5.5V. If the datasheet specification is not satisfied, the product is used in conditions which are out of spec and we cannot guarantee its behavior. Maybe look at true solid state relay which maybe behaves similar to an electromechanical relay. Let me know if you have any other questions. Answered by:
