Dear engineer, The NCL30060 includes brown out protection providing
A defined shutdown for low input voltage.typically 111 V. if the input voltage is lower than this value
The NCL30060 will enter the brown out protection mode, which will not be started?
Please note that the version B1 of the NCL30060B1DR2G (brown out is disabled) is available only by customer request.
The other versions of the NCL30060 includes brown out protection providing a defined shutdown for low input voltage. This feature is enabled after a VCC reset event and does not allow the controller to enter active mode until the input voltage is
above the startup threshold, typically 111 V, as you have mentioned in your question.
There are no other limiting issues, but of course the following items should be addressed for lower input voltage/higher input current:
transformer
primary current sense
power switch
startup circuit
primary snubber
EMI filter magnetics current rating
