I am designing a system that is PWM dimmable (via uC), 100W+, Offline (120VAC). Looked at ncl30001, but don't want to use electrolytic caps due to their limited life span. What would be the best driver for the job?

You might use LLC resonant topology like NCP1397 http://www.onsemi.com/PowerSolutions/pr ... id=NCP1397 and front end PFC NCP1607 using film type output capacitors. \nhttp://www.onsemi.com/PowerSolutions/pr ... id=NCP1607 \nor the new NCP1611 http://www.onsemi.com/pub_link/Collateral/NCP1611-D.PDF \nOhter possible solution is PFC and Half-Bridge Resonant Combo Controller for LED Lighting NCL30051\nhttp://www.onsemi.com/pub_link/Collater ... 0051-D.PDF \nDimming would be on the secondary side.
