Dc to Ac: Application -converting 120 volts dc into AC for Solar application If he took 10 batteries at 12 volts each it would equal 120 volts dc. Is there a semiconductor that can take 120 volts DC and oscillate at 120 volts AC/signwave.

No, ON Semi does not have a one-chip solution. To design something like this, customers will have to use a ;MULTI-Chip Solution; such as with FETs, Bipolar or IGBTs. * DC to AC is an Inverter * AC to DC is a converter There is an excellent App Note (AN222/D) that talks about the ABCs of DC to AC Inverters.
