My company produces electricity meter, and we are interested in development of power line communication modem with Spread-Frequency Shift Keying (S-FSK) modulation (in accordance with IEC 61334-5-1). On your internet site you offer PLC modem that contains AMIS49587 processor and NCS5650 power line driver. In some of your presentations you refer to High Speed Robust S-FSK with AMIS49588, but we can't find data sheet for that. Do you have some solution for PLC modem with this type of modulation, where the power consumption is not larger then 6W?

The AMIS49588 is in prototyping phase and will be released to the market by end of this year (2011). Since we do have many customers interested, we always advise to design in the AMIS49587 in QFN that would be pin to pin compatible with AMIS49588. Answered by:
