I use MC34063A to create a DC-DC step-down conveter (9-36V to 5.0V) with large output current more than 1.5A. I tried a few design from datasheet but not succeeded. Could you please send me some referrence designs. Thanks! Zhou Weiqiu
The MC34063A regulator provides up to 1A of average current output therefore you are going to get an error message if you are using our online design tool.
The NCP3064 Step-Up/Down/Inverting switching regulator supports a buck configuration with a wide input voltage range from 3.0V to 40.0V.
The NCP3064 is a low cost converter that supports a peek current of 1.5A with a maximum duty cycle of 85.7%. The ON/OFF function allows turn the device to low consumption mode.
The NCP3064 can also be used as a controller for peak currents greater than 1.5A when an external device is used.
