I am using your current driver NUD4001DR2G, I have an application requiring 750ma constant currant, looking at the data sheet fig. 7 is what I'm after, combining 2 500ma drivers together to share the current load Question how is the Rext (current set resistor) calculated in this application? Second question, what is the purpose of D1?
Please refer to our NUD4001 design worksheet where fig.3 gives you R_external 1.7 ohm and series resistor would depends on an actual Vcc voltage.
Diode D1 is there for an accidental battery reverse protection.
