I am looking for a boost regulator to take 3 AAA alkaline batteries and output 8 V. Idle current on the output is 180 mA. Active current is 270 mA. It should only need to be active 1 minute per hour. We only expect 2 to 3 hours of battery life.\n\nWhat do you have that is very efficient and has low RFI (it has a 900 MHz radio)?\n\nThanks,\nJim
You may use the LV57331TT or one of the NCP306X series. We also recommed a low noise LDO to be applied after the boost stage. For instance, the MC7808, the MC78M08 or the NCP7800.
