Dear Sir/Madam, i am a student and i am in the process of my thesis diploma. As part of it, i need a voltage regulator that will take as input 5V and will give as output 3V. Unfortunately i have searched everywhere and the only ones i find are those who give as output 3.3V. After a good look at your site, i saw that you have some DC/DC converters like the NCP1402 that could do the job, but i am not so sure. The reason i need the specific regulator is because my power source is at 5Volts and for the needs of my circuit, i need at a specific IC a 3Volts Vref. Do you think that you have something that could help me? Thank you in advance, Pantelis

Based on the information provided we can suggest LM317. The LM317 is an adjustable 3−terminal positive voltage regulator capable of supplying in excess of 1.5 A over an output voltage range of 1.2 V to 37 V. Answered by:
