Michael DeLuca

Marketing Manager, CCD and CMOS Image Sensors
Michael DeLuca joined ON Semiconductor in 2014 with the acquisition of Truesense Imaging, and works in Rochester, NY as a marketing manager for CCD and CMOS Image Sensor devices. He has almost 20 years of experience working throughout the digital imaging chain with both Truesense Imaging and Eastman Kodak Company, ranging from defining requirements for new image sensors to the capture, processing, and printing of images using professional digital cameras and printing equipment. He currently focuses on understanding new image sensor product opportunities and market trends for Machine Vision, Intelligent Traffic, and Scientific markets.

Michael has a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Yale University.

Earlier this month, ON Semiconductor exhibited at the 26th VISION trade fair, held in Stuttgart, Germany.   VISION is one of the premier events for the Machine Vision industry, focusing on components and integrated systems for image-based automatic inspection and analysis, and ON Semiconductor was there to highlight our newest image sensor products that target this growing market.

Today marks the opening of the VISION trade fair in Stuttgart, Germany, a major event for the Machine Vision industry that supports applications ranging from barcode identification and robot vision to traffic systems and industrial inspection.  If you have a machine that needs to “see” as part of its operation, this is the event to be at – whether you’re looking for individual components (cameras, lighting, software) or an integrated system solution.

Everyone hopes for it, in one way or another – things to be a little better than they were before.  Parents want a better life for their children.  Workers want a little more in their paycheck.  And fans of sports teams want at least a few more wins than last year.  It’s a basic drive of human nature – looking to make things better than they were before, and striving to find ways to make that happen.
