Evaluation Board Description
The Low Voltage AC LED reference design board demonstrates a method of properly powering high brightness LEDs from the AC line utilizing a step down isolation transformer. The board is capable of driving up to three 350 mA high brightness LEDs. The control method consists of a linear regulator made up of two discrete transistors and a sense resistor to keep the current through the LEDs properly regulated.
