About ON Semiconductor Microelectronics Center at the Slovak University of Technology (ONMiST)
ONMiST was established on June 14 th , 2000 as a fully-owned ON Semiconductor entity located at the Slovak University of Technology at that time. After an establishment of the Bratislava Development Center (BDC) in 2006, ONMiST was moved from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava ( FEI STU ) to the location of BDC in the downtown of Bratislava .
ONMiST operates to accomplish the following objectives:
- To support joint projects between ON Semiconductor and FEI STU.
- To enhance the education of FEI STU students in the field of microelectronics
- To attract more and talented students to the field of microelectronics, particularly in integrated circuit design and test, silicon semiconductor modeling, characterization and fabrication by combining practical industrial know-how with academic principles
- To establish a close working link between Slovak University of Technology and ON Semiconductor manufacturing centers at Piestany (Slovakia) and Roznov (Czech Republic) in support of technology requirements through joint activity and shared resources.
