Andy Williams heads ON Semiconductor's Automotive and Power Group (APG) - which includes automotive power products, automotive mixed-signal ASICs, power regulation products, and power MOSFETs. Mr. Williams held prior positions as Senior Vice President of the Automotive and Power Regulation Group from 2006 and Vice President from 2004 leading the company’s efforts in the development of energy efficient power supply solutions. Prior to these roles, he managed ON Semiconductor's Power Conversion products and led new product technology introductions for ON Semiconductor's Analog Products Group.
Mr. Williams currently serves on the Board of Trustees and the Board of Advanced Transportation Systems at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He also is an active member of the Arizona Technology Investors Forum.
Mr. Williams began his engineering career at Motorola in 1988. He held the positions of Optoelectronics Product Engineer from 1988 to 1993 and Analog Test Engineer from 1993 to 1998. Mr. Williams earned his BSEE from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 1988 and his master's degree in Engineering Management in 2000 from National Technological University.
